The majority of our competitors advertise ‘Free Evaluation’ or Free Quote’ for Data Recovery Services. Nothing is free in this world. Your eventual cost to recover your data includes the cost of evaluating your hard drive for recovery. It is uncomfortable when you receive an email or call (as an example) a 1TB drive is $1,500. instead of $595. (our cost). After the price shock, you request the hard drive to be returned. At this point you question yourself…will they do something to the hard drive that no one can recover my data?
Hard drive data is fragmented on the hard drive. The data recovery process involves scanning the entire drive. This process is required to locate all data fragments before specific files and folders can be identified. Therefore, the recovery process time and cost are directly related to the capacity of the hard drive.
In most cases, file names and folders will remain their data structure. In a small portion of Data Recoveries, the recovered data due to damage on the hard drive will have lost their file and folder names.
In this situation, lost files and folder names will be recovered in groups by file extension and possibly date order.
It would be difficult to list all the reasons for data loss. One thing is guaranteed…All Hard Drives Fail at some point. It is a good idea to change your hard drive after 3 years of use.

How do I receive my data you recovered?
We transfer your recovered data to an external hard drive (USB). You have the option to send us your USB hard drive or purchase one from us. If you are sending a USB drive to us please send it with your failed hard drive. This will save you the expense of 2 shipments.
After you download your data to your computer it is a good idea to use the USB backup drive for the data backups of your computer.or we will see you again.
Once your data is recovered and data verified from start to finish the time frame is typically 4 to 7 workdays
Important factors affecting turnaround time:
- If the hard drive is spinning or not ( Indication of electronic failure).
- If the hard drive is making unusual sounds. ( Indication of mechanical failure).
- Large capacity hard drive size requires additional time to recover your data.
In 1 & 2 above, replacement parts will need to be sourced out to recovery your data. Sourcing parts can be difficult and time-consuming as we must match many codes from your failed hard drive. Through our global network of hard drive providers, we can usually source the correct parts in a few days. Disruption in air travel and weather may delay parts.
